Primary Pet Show Draws Crowd Despite Chicken Pox Epidemic
Georgetown primary school's annual Pet Show on the Oval drew a fair crowd on October 30 despite a chicken pox outbreak. About 70 entries competed in categories from horses and dogs to birds, pigs and a novelty slow bike race won by Rex Crawford. Prizewinners included Elford Phillis and Bill Brogan among many, with funds totaling roughly £3 10/ to aid school finances.
