Jamestown Riding Club Draws Prizes at Show Ground
Over 20 riders gathered at the Jamestown Show Ground on Sunday in good weather. Each rider drew a numbered ticket to reveal envelopes containing prizes. Prizes included 7 12 "Gamal RGA" and others won by Miss C Horsburgh, Messrs Courher and Stanton. My. Ben Evans Orchestra provided music and the door takings exceeded £22 before the final prize was claimed by Chris, revealing her small fortune when she dismounted from "Jigeing Gypsy."
