Butter and Eggs Bulletin Reflect Slight Decline in Production
Production of butter remains below peak with weekly declines and rain needed to sustain winter feed. Cattle condition is good and dry feed sufficient on most farms though green pastures wilted in many districts awaiting rain. Butter output continues to exceed last year and demand for Blue Valley remains strong with unchanged local prices. Eggs in hand are insufficient to meet demand and production is at the lowest yet, with Egg Board rates unchanged for various qualities.
