Navy boys seek careers at Royal Australian Naval College
Large numbers of boys have applied to sit for the qualifying examination for entry as Cadet Midshipman to the Royal Australian Naval College in January 1948. Applications close June 15. The cadetship provides full education, clothing, food, quarters, and weekly pocket money with a path to officer ranks and special branches. merit marks may count toward promotion and early seniority.

British Guest Sunday expected to top last year’s drive
The British Guest Sunday on May 25 aims to raise at least 7000 for the Lord Mayor’s Food for Britain Fund. Radio appeals at 12 45 pm will urge donations via special envelopes delivered to 120 000 South Australian homes. Envelopes go through city Boy Scouts and country schoolchildren under headmasters guidance.
