In the final round of Club Teams matches held Saturday March 25, winners Clift Jones Goodes Jos Williams 26 Noonan P Inglis Neale Garnett defeated Park McCarthy with subs, while others like Herde Gordon Grabia and Tuckwell Judell faced Blaskett Penna. Cheer Up Club Entertains at Jamestown Institute
Monday night the Cheer Up Club hosted LAC Jack Noonan on leave with his parents at the Jamestown Institute. Vice-President E. J. C. Williams presided and welcomed him. community singing led by W. T. Palmer with piano by Mrs J. C. Shurray. Speakers Dennis and Walton addressed the gathering. Mrs Harper and Mrs Williams presented gifts. A musical program featured Miss Valda Williams Claire Dunstan Mrs Brambleton and duettists Bill and Bob White. Noonan offered thanks as Australia’s Song and Auld Lang Syne closed with a dance led by Mrs Fo Steggall.

Late Miss A J C McSkimming dies at Laura hospital
Alexandra J C McSkimming, an elderly long time Laura resident born at Kapunda over 80 years ago, died last week. A dressmaker in her youth she served many homes in the district and belonged to Laura Baptist Church. The Rev Chatteldl officiated at her funeral.

Jamestown CWA Flower Show Opens With Various Stalls
Jamestown Branch CWA held a March 16 flower show with stalls and about £45 realized. Mrs. QO Brogan opened the event, noting CWA aims and donations to Quorn. Mayor E T Daly declared the show open. Entries were strong despite poor blooming. champion bloom was a pink dahlia grown by Mrs. A J Symons.

Belalie North Methodists Celebrate Sunday School Anniversary
The Belalie North Methodists observed their Sunday School Anniversary on March 24 in good weather. Rev. Harper led services with two addresses focusing on church and Sunday School attendance, Moses leading the people out of bondage, and the choir and soloists Miss Nita Bray and Miss Beryl Davis receiving praise. Mrs. C. Davis directed, Miss Doris Cummings played organ, and Superintendent Mr. Eckert reported strong finances and thanked teachers for their weekly toil. Prizes saving stamps, plus apples and sweets, were given to scholars in the afternoon.
