North Western Agricultural Society Holds Annual Meeting
The North Western Agricultural Society met in Crystal Brock Institute supper room with Mr. P. J. Lines presiding. The secretary G. W. H. Gale read the annual report showing a profit of about £30 after bank interest and the first receipts-exceed-expenditure year since 1927. The show featured large draught horse and pet plant exhibits, with improvements to grounds and a £40 grant funding a new cycling track. Officers were elected and grants and permissions announced, including use of pavilion by Girl Guides and Girls Hockey Club.
