Flax Growers Hold Annual Meeting at Laura Town Hall
The Northern Flax Growers Association met in Laura on March 4 with poor attendance. Wurst presided as Lyons urged mechanisation, prize winners were announced, and officers re elected. The group discussed future acreage, seed sourcing, and mill stock, with next meeting planned for March 1947 in Laura.

A Harvest Thanksgiving service was held at St Silas Church of England on February 24 conducted by the Bishop of Willochra Miss E Greig served as organist. The church was decorated by members and afternoon tea followed at the sale yards in aid of Institute raising a good sum.
