Northern District Councils and Corporations Association Meet
The half yearly gathering at Gladstone heard tributes to late Councillor Herbert F. Jones and praised Inspector J. A. Lyons MP. Delegates from Gladstone Georgetown Mt. Gambier Crystal Brook Jamestown Laura and others discussed road works from Clare to Port Augusta and water projects at Whyalla and Iron Knob. Premier Butler policy pledges on local government finance, bylaw powers, and electoral reforms were noted, with ongoing co operation from Inspector Davies in road maintenance and local governance.
