The death of Mrs Maria Millington occurred June 6 1946 at Crystal Brook Hospital after a short illness. Born August 16 1864 at Anitalya she moved to Laura 66 years ago and married Frank Millington in 1891. She was a founder member of the Laura Girls Friendly Society and eldest surviving member. Survived by children Gordon Eva Lindsay Robert Norman and 14 grandchildren and one great grandchild. Interment followed at Laura Cemetery after a service by Rev S H Davies.
