Jamestown District Council met in Connell Chamber with Cr Cronin chairing. Reports discussed road inspections after floods, urgent creek work, and water flow management. Various motions approved including staff hires, public health plans, and nominations for councillors. several correspondence items and legal issues noted.
The council approved alterations advised by the Registrar General and set annual election timing. Financial reports were approved with district funds and government grants totaling £1094 4s 2d. Road works were reviewed including Jamestown Appila and related repairs. A washed out road was referred to Dr Frost and the Overseer for attention. The polling place for Belalie Ward was moved to the District Office Jamestown. The next meeting date was set for Friday June 22. Ground preparation for trees in the council yard was approved and talks began with Adelaide Electric Supply Co to install lighting at McDougall’s Corner.
