Re-elected Chairman Leads Belalie District Meeting
The District Council of Belalie held its first 1929 30 meeting at the District Office on Friday July 12. F Cummings was unanimously re-elected chairman for the year. Councillors Moore Jamieson Bradtke Baynes Cronin and the District Clerk were present. Debates covered road repairs grading and sheeted roads at Belalie North Jamestown Nanmanakie Appila Bun Daleer Springs and other locations. Tenders were accepted for road metal and new road works. a medical officer was appointed and the annual financial statement for June 30 1929 was adopted and to be published in the Review. The ratepayer meeting date was set for August 8 at 3 pm.
