Gladstone Police Court Names and Fines on Prohibited Premises
In Gladstone Police Court Horsee Alfred Blatchford faced charges for being on licensed premises during prohibited hours and refusing to state his name, ordered to pay 20 shillings and 20 shillings in costs. Francia B Evans, licensed victualler of Georgetown, was fined £6 plus £1 costs for unlawfully supplying liquor by Sunday May 27. A large attendance failed to reach prior years as Wirrabara and neighboring clubs faced tough results. The hall featured pink and white streamers and Japan ese lanterns with the Gladstone orchestra and MC Mr. F Lent. Supper was organized by Croquet Club ladies. Colline of Marreytown won the evening x euehre tournament. Wirrabara lost to Metroze on their home court by ten points with umpire Milla under pressure. Melrose advanced to the from with ten points. Wirrabara Wilmington and Hoolston trailed, while Boolerap edged by about ten points in B grade action. Final standings placed Stone Hot 16, Wirrabara 10, Murraytown 4, Boolerap 2.
