Nurses Ball at Jamestown Institute Draws Large Attendance
The annual Nurses Ball at Jamestown Institute on Tuesday night June 25 drew over 400 attendees from Gladstone Calton Spalding Yongala Peterborough and the City. Decorations in autumn tones and grand gold supper room created a festive setting while prizes including Glory Box won by Claranette of Adelaide and a Monte Carlo prize for Mr. and Mrs. Allan Lehmann highlighted the lively program. Proceeds reached £44 as staff and visitors enjoyed dances music by B Evans orchestra and Leo Wilson for supper. Sister Anderson received a traveling rug and clock in appreciation for her service with a formal presentation by E. T. Daly and Matron Bail noting the nursing staff’s farewell.
