District Council Fire Control Conference at Gulnare
A Georgetown district conference with Fire Controllers from Georgetown Gulnare Yacka and Nar Mey met to improve fire service. The council reported 127 leather beaters two 200 gallon tanks a 400 gallon tank with pumps and hose and seven semi rotary pumps. Suggestions urged ploughing firebreaks around crops pastures and fencing roads and hanging gates to allow grazing and reduce fire risk.
