The half yearly meeting of the Northern District Councils and Corporations Association will be held at Gladstone Memorial Hall on Friday February 24 at 11. Confirmation of minutes and the half year report will be presented. Motions include hospital rating, maintenance of district hospitals, compulsory fire controllers, and costs for fire fighters in district areas. The Government is urged to provide cheaper water for country parks and gardens.

Crystal Brook Returned Soldiers Annual Meeting
Crystal Brook branch of the Returned Soldiers Association held a meeting at the Institute Hall with many attendees. President J Halse was in the chair and secretary T R Freshairn presented the report showing a credit of £40. Halse was re-elected president and Freshairn secretary. The committee decided the annual reunion dinner at Crystal Brook for the mid northern branches on March 4 and the Anzac reunion dinner on April 25.
