A large Wandearah farm sale of Mr. W. D. Brechin drew over 1,000 farmers and bidders. Auctioneer C G Tucker saw the top price reach £86 for a worker, with other prices £65 £60 £51 £48 and £45. the entire team of 10 workers averaged £53. Yearlings sold to £33 and foals to £30, with the winner a Crystal Brook bidder who said he would have gone to £100.

The Gladstone Institute Committee met with L Darthew presiding. Mrs M A Schmidt was welcomed as a new member. A verandah for patrons and space for shows were discussed and referred to Hall and Grounds. The bust custody of the late W S Gladstone was accepted. Pianos to be renovated. chairs repaired. floor cleaned. An iron frame and bars were installed in the Prisoner's room after a prior escape attempt. Hall-hire on holidays discussed with six weeks notice required.
