The Jamestown District Council met January 28 1938 with Dr M J Cronin as chairman and councillors Bradtke Swearse Baynes F Catford R Catford Graham and Toll present Apologies were read from Dr Smart. Reports covered road repairs floods in Mannanarie district grants and local services with approvals for water pipe laying and revised street lighting rates. A supplementary election for Mannanarie Ward elected John Henry Thomas unopposed. The council set meeting control to the chairman and clerk.

Jamestown Council Meets Amid Grants and Audits
