The Laura Jockey Club granted life membership to H W Sampson of Port Pirie and R H Mills of Beetaloo in a Feb 1 ceremony at Laura racecourse. Jamestown Institute appoints subcommittees for new year
At a Jamestown Institute committee of management meeting the President Mr. Boyle presided. Sub-committees were set for Works Book Minute and correspondence with members including Messrs Humphris Moore Cham bere Yeomans Boucaut Ross Williams Watkins Phillips. The treasurer reported a satisfactory financial statement. The book committee said January saw 1,000 books and 509 magazines issued to subscribers and 45 books received for shelves. The Works Committee may make library alterations.
