Tulip Fair at Gladstone raises funds for Methodist Church
Gladstone Institute hosted a Tulip Fair on Tuesday December 4 to aid Methodist Church Funds. The event drew large crowds for sessions with decorative stalls and a promenade concert. Mrs Mil ton Tresise opened the fair and received flowers, while a baby competition drew strong interest and trophies. Proceeds reached £2 15s 9d with various stalls and refreshments run by the Ladies Guild.

New Season Wheat Delivered at Gladstone Yard
The first wad of new season wheat arrived at the Gladstone wheat yard on Monday. Delivered to Mr. C. 0. Kennett agent for the Farmers Union, the 24 Ways of Rance sample weighed 660 ha. Mr. K. L. Blesing delivered on behalf of Mrs. M. EB. Blesing and Mr. W. J. Growden. The pad dock from which the load was reaped will average about 9 bags per acre. A presentation to Mr. Blesing followed.
