The clerk certifies the foregoing statement is true and correct in every respect. Laid before the Council on August 28, 1974. A. B. Blesing, chairman. Auditors W. Odgers and E. W. Winkler audited and found it correct.
Minutes show Cra Blesing as chairman with Flavel Potter Black Neate and clerk C Budge. Accounts approved including General Account 140 pounds 7 shillings 3 pence and Government Grant 9 shillings 4 pence 6 pence. Resolutions cover road works drainage stock clearance motor tax and appointments to Northern Councils Association with dates in 1985 and a special August 28 meeting for balance sheet.
The Mid North Electricity Co Ltd plans electric light and power supply for Clare Riverton Saddieworth and surrounding areas. A central power house site at Clare has been purchased tenders for equipment accepted and plans for the plant are advancing. W H Whitney is appointed managing engineer raising investor confidence.
The wedding of Misa Fitzsimmons youngest daughter of Mr and Mrs P Fitzsimmons Gladstone and Norman Haylock second son of Mr and Mrs N Haylock Moonta was held at St Peter's Church Gladstone on August 15. The church decoration included ribbons lilies snowdrape and bells. The bride wore a brocaded crepe de chine gown with silver lace overdress and pale blue georgette underdress with veil and orange blossoms. Bridesmaid Eileen Smalls wore a shell pink crepe de chine gown and carried pale pink flowers. Bride's mother wore black tricotine and fur. mother of the groom wore black Jersey silk. Best man was P Berry. The bridal traveling costume featured nigger embroidered marocain with tango braiding.
