Death of Mrs Mitchell Martin Jamestown Centenarian
Mrs Mitchell Martin aged 103 passed away at her daughter Miss Minnie Martins residence in Jamestown. Born in London on December 12 1844 she lived in South Australia since 1855. She married Mitchell Martin in 1868 and lived at Canowie Station before moving to Jamestown. Funeral held Sunday at St James Church with Rev H Price.

Delegates heard welcome speeches, elected Milne as President, and adopted resolutions reaffirming loyalty to the Christian Commonwealth Crusade and Protestant Faith. The Youth Rally highlighted the event, and the secretary reported 17 churches and 1 preaching station with 493 members, 76 teachers and 454 scholars in 15 Sunday Schools. Total year contributions reached £4849 18s, with notable overseas mission giving and a visit to the BISP Smelting Works.

Change in Oil Company Directorate Names New Marketing Director
At end of July John D. Rogers known in Sydney business circles as Vacuum Oil Company Pty Limited NSW General Manager moved to Melbourne to assume Marketing Director at the head office. Rogers, a Melbourne University science graduate, rose from Chief Chemist in Sydney to executive posts, war service, and NSW General Manager before becoming Director resident in Sydney. He succeeds Angus Jones, who goes to New York for a post.
