District Council of Jamestown Minutes March 25 1948
The District Council of Jamestown met in Council Chambers on March 25 1948 at 10 am with Chairman R. M. Holland and Councillors including Smart Hoffmann Catford Bray Hall and Jonin present along with the Overseer of Works and District Clerk. The meeting covered grader purchase for £57, road safety and cattle issues, correspondence on subsidies and fire equipment, financial statements and wage payments, and arrangements for upcoming elections with James Joseph Kerin appointed Returning Officer.
