Georgetown Race Meeting Showcases Improved Course
The Georgetown Race Club held its annual meet on March 30 with larger attendance and many northern city guests. Improvements to the course included a raised back straight and 45 new horse stalls. W. McNamara won two events aboard Ebon Hue and Marimba's Son, while C. Leesue suspended for two months after an incident in the Narridy Trials. The meeting, led by President J. J. Augley, Secretary R. B. White, and Assistant Secretary M. H. Braggy, yielded a profitable off course betting day and increased stake money by £25.
