Jamestown Football Club elects officers and plans 40 season
At the annual Jamestown Football Club meeting held at the Institute last Thursday a balanced report showed a sound financial position. The club reaffirms joining the Northern Areas Association and elected officers led by President E T Daly and Secretary B Trevorrow. Membership is set at 6 shillings, admission 1 shilling, with children half-price, a gatekeeper appointed, and a working bee scheduled for April 21 followed by the first practice on April 9 to begin the 40 season.

Farewell to Rev J J Mahoney and family at Methodist Hall
A farewell social for Rev J J Mahoney and Mrs Mahoney was held at the Methodist Lecture Hall on Wednesday March 27. The packed gathering praised his three year term of service in Jamestown Belalie North and noted Mrs Mahoney as a tower of strength. Guests from several groups spoke, a silver vegetable dish was presented, and Auld Lang Syne closed the evening followed by supper. The annual report highlighted rural fire prevention progress and government support for fire prevention measures following Hills bushfires.
