Temperance unity urged by churches in British meeting
The Baptist Total Abstinence Association embraced a forward step urging churches to avoid appointing officers engaged in liquor traffic. Leaders pressed for united temperance action across denominations, citing Dr Parker and the need for clean hands in church roles to advance a nationwide drive against drink. Miss M E Docwra received a £157 donation from union members for temperance work.
