Treasury invites cash surrender of May 6 per cent bonds
Holders of 6 per cent Commonwealth stock maturing on May 11 who do not intend to convert are urged to surrender their bonds for cash with accrued interest. So far only £153,426 worth have been redeemed out of £1,000,000 set aside. The Treasury notes advantages for those using cash to repay overdrafts or reinvest now, while not deterring those who plan to convert later.

Hard Winter Predicted and Vita-Lick Feed Tip
Weather reports warn of a very hard winter especially in the high country. Frosts reduce feed quality, making Vita-Lick essential for sheep. For extreme conditions use Vita-Lick double strength: one bag Vita-Lick to one bag salt.
