A letter from Katanning dated 1/2/18 complains that military drills are scheduled in the hottest morning hours, disrupting afternoons. The writer suggests shifting drills to after noon or other days, noting it would still be the employer's time. Also mentions Vy. Zimpel sale offerings including draperies and furniture at sale prices.
Notice offers two hundred pounds reward for information leading to conviction and imprisonment of any person stealing sheep from listed properties. Communicate with named individuals across Katanning, Kojonup, Gnowangerup, Broomehill, and surrounding districts. Names include Thompson, Gannawarra, Richardson, Davis, O. Timms, Corbett, Bowes, Wray, Longmire, Ladyman, and many others amid a long plea for assistance.
