Talbot versus Railways in sluggish local match

Talbot made 49 in their first innings as Wardley and Long failed to reach double figures against Baker and Moore. Railways replied 180 with Chivers and Moore contributing, Moore nearly reaching a century before dismissal. Ross finished not out on 42 as Morecroft’s stumping and fielding miscues marked the day. The match halted due to a railway picnic. Havelock pressed Maryborough later, with Maryborough posting 46.
