At Rosehill on Saturday Veiled Threat won the Club Handicap, rising as a Cup favorite. The three year old chestnut shows stayers’ promise and could heat Cup rivals like Katanga and Gilltown, while John Dory emerges as a Doncaster and Sydney Cup contender after a late rush to beat Rathlin.
Doncaster race notes show High Caste on top with Veiled Threat rising to second line alongside Katanga for the Sydney Cup. The latest order lists Veiled Threat among several entries including Mosaic, Reading, Scientist, and Proud Fox with other racers such as Dashing Cavalier and Velocity in the field.
The Kembla Grange Club appointed Mr. Frank as their new handicapper after Mr. Ian Keast resigned. Frank is a veteran official who has previously served as handicapper for Victoria Park Club from its start and for Richmond Club for several years.
