Manitoba will not race again. Imported by Mr A T Creswick the horse will be retired to The Nook this week. The English Derby winner Manna sired Manitoba and Bergstede is dam. He raced three times at the Melbourne Autumn meetings and earned attention but did not win. He rode well in the Newmarket and C M Lloyd Stakes but just missed a placing.
