Memorial trough christened for famed Australian cross country rider

A memorial drinking trough for horses at Mordialloc was formally opened in memory of one of Australia’s best known cross country riders and his wife who died saving horses from a burning stable. Mrs. H. Farmer cut the ribbon and water flowed into the trough while Mr. Farmer led a pony formerly owned by Mrs. Murrell for the first drink.
