After final gallops trainer Frank McGrath hails Grand Prodige as 100 percent recovered from a Carrington Stakes injury and seeks a bold showing as he clashes with Trimmer and Panchio in a knotty sprint. The horse finished sixth in the Carrington Stakes before weaving erratically along the rail.
In a Randwick trial Tahmoor shied in the five furlongs and crashed the rail injuring the horse. Trainer Jim Munro summoned a vet as Tahmoor may not race again soon while connections pursue double engagements with other horses and jockey changes are noted for Grand Prodige.
In a tight field Two's Company narrows the crowd by finishing behind Grand Fils and Cream in Tatt's Cup and by Veiled Threat and Lord Neith in the Turf Club Handicap. With a mile and a half ahead in the Anniversary, she is favored to improve, while Grand Fils and Moondarewa remain major rivals and Lord Neith shows late speed. Abspear and Dewar fade, others lack form. Two's Company expected to take honors ahead of Grand Fils and Veiled Threat.

Reg Rowe warns owners and trainers that the Rosehill meet is set for Saturday February 10th at 4 p.m. On January 24 a club distribution of £2500 covers six events including Novice Jump, Nurse, 20 yds, Three Year Old 6f Flying, Rosehill Handicap, Kee ford Handicap for 1 mile and 4 furlongs.
