Pride of Egypt owner Mr. E. R. Williams plans the Derbies after a superb Hobartville Stakes victory. Williams has enjoyed success in classics with Hydrogen and Forest Beau, winning the Victoria Derby St Leger Q T C Derby and Guineas races.
The column cites Lord Bosworth as a strong Epsom contender with improved form from Australia. Ken Ranger bet heavy on several horses at Warwick Farm including £25,000 on Barfleur and £10,000 on Karendi, while Prince Cortauld gains as a steadily improving Epsom prospect.
