Dr Wake's Patient charms at Palace Theatre

The Hamilton Plimmer Company revived Dr Wake's Patient at the Palace Theatre with a strong ensemble led by Mr George S. Smilheradge and Mrs Robert Brough. The plot centers on the Devonshire farm meeting of Dr Wake and Lady Gerania, their romantic recognition, and a family wrench over class snobbery before a hopeful wedding. The cast and company drew an enthusiastic crowd with solid performances in third act humor, heart, and melodrama.
