A long mixed report covers Australian and Irish racing. It notes horses like Canterbury and Randwick entries, Rosehill events, trainer changes, and a veteran handicapper Cherie Quibnens role. It mentions upcoming meetings, Irish and English race comparisons, and a rider fatality incident with brief health updates.
The article recalls old racing figures and yearling sales, citing Doncaster and Newmarket results. It lists progeny, four figure averages, and notable horses such as Chimera Polant and Teena, with references to the London Sporting Times and notable buyers like Mr. Joel Soughy. It notes terminal racing careers and significant sale figures around 45,000 pounds.
Hot muggy weather did not dampen Rosehill attendance and a strong field of Summer Handicap contenders. Plut Pod’s Flying Handicap victory impressed, with Hopetoun and King Howard among notable runners. Queen Quatre, Quest and Salmo also figured in the day’s results.
Disjointed coverage from Adelaide to Melbourne outlines trainer Lockey heading to holidays, Remmon's nomination for Facer by the VRC, and Melbourne jockey P Kelly shifting to top horse training. Mentions include West Australia events, Ascot, Flemington, and various race notes with unspecified outcomes. The fragmentary copy lists names like Jolly Baga, Grem ain, Comedy King progeny, and Horsham-style references, indicating ongoing racing activity and leadership shifts.
An unclear report mentions Bucintaas presenting 42 forges that are to be beaten, alongside references to a Saleen Ta and Seunure SG, with shamanate style wording. The readable text is fragmentary and does not provide concrete names, dates, places, or outcomes.
