The Ashfield Council at its last meeting appointed a committee of the Mayor Alderman Brown Aldermen Jones Algie and Woodbridge the council clerk Mr G E Spark and the valuer Mr W H Binsteu to review nearly 1500 municipal valuation appeals with aims to adjust them or seek court confirmation. The Mayor said the Appeal Court date had not yet been fixed and appellants would be notified by letter and advertisement once the registrar provides the date. With so many appeals a special magistrate may be deputed to handle them promptly.
