On Friday next, October Int, Old Boys will hold their Annual Meeting in the Shire Hall and adjourn to Theatre Hall for a banquet. Nominations for office bearers have been received with over ten for Vice-President. most offices filled though Social Secretary position unused. Rex Handi is available again after a successful term, while field day plans fade due to lack of interest.

The Sunshine Social Club hosts a Saturday dance at Shire Hall to raise funds for the Women’s Auxiliary of the Sunshine Branch of the 5.8. & A. Fathers’ Association. The Auxiliary brightens sick and disabled servicemen and women. Non stop dancing with two popular bands promises a grand night for Sunshine district residents.

Shire President to Attend Sunday Gymkhana at Fleming ton
The Shire President Dr Remy Barrett and Mrs Barrett along with Dr A E Shepherd MLA and Mrs Shepherd will attend the gymkhana at Fleming ton Racecourse this Sunday Sept 26. A Southern Command military band will play interludes and 3AW artists Fred Tupper Willy Fennell Chic Little Wolf will entertain. Proceeds benefit the Deaf and Dumb Institute with Braybrook Kindergartens sharing profits. A bus will leave Sunshine Post Office at 11 am.

Ex-Students Association warns that photograph orders not paid for by Wednesday October 6 at the General Meeting will be cancelled. A picnic hike is in progress and details will be announced at the next General Meeting. The duty will have its own Ex Students band at every future General Meeting.
St Albans Kindergarten Progress in Keilor District Meeting
St Albans Kindergarten Committee reports strong progress after a Tuesday meeting. Delegates including Dr and Mrs Davis Cr Moffat Crs Pennell and Hayden and others welcomed updates on hall use, public health inspections, and plans for a fundraising Carnival aided by local councils and the Carnival Committee. A screening event and donations from residents supported the drive, with volunteers urged to join and help equip the project.

Younger Set General Meeting Plans October Events
The next General Meeting is arranged for Monday October 18 to elect office bearers for the Executive Committee. A picnic is planned for October 24 at Diamond Creek. A combined committee meeting will be held at Shire Hall on Monday September 27 at 8 pm. Card Night is noted and attendance for the next crazy whist event at Mrs Johnson's home in October is requested.
