Sunshine Council was informed by a petition signed by twelve residents at Monday's meeting about delays in constructing Fraser Street further west to enable ingress to homes. The petition states tradesmen could not deliver to a number of houses and will be considered at the next meeting.
On Monday a backyard factory in Centre Street was found unregistered since January. The council told the inquiry that factory operations would not be allowed to resume under current circumstances.
Ejectment orders were granted at the Sunshine Court on Tuesday against two Housing Commission tenants in Maidstone. The tenants named were Michael Benedict Curran of 4 Edmund Street and Kenneth Stanley Patterson of 136 Ashley Street.
A further approach will be made to the E.C. by Sunshine Council to secure a uniform electricity tariff for the whole city. The E.C. has previously rejected extending the metropolitan tariff to outer areas such as Deer Park.
