Deputation Seeks Roadway for Keilor Street Drainage
A deputation led by Evans and including A Glarke D K Hill and Williams met the Keilor council to press for a private street construction plan. They argued a 15 foot strip would suffice and water and electricity costs must be weighed against land value and ratepayers’ burden. The group also raised wandering stock damages and floodwater concentration in Arthur Street, and asked the engineer to report on the request.
