Traffic officer Keith William Young told the local court on Tuesday that a car had been parked for six hours in a one hour limit zone on Hampshire Road. Albert Cadalonga of 202 Hampshire Road was fined £1 with 2/6 costs for double parking. Vendimin Chrysostamou of 23 Hall Street West Sunshine also fined £1 with 2/6 costs.

Dr J Castley Elected Mayor of Sunshine
The Western Ward councillor Dr J Castley was unanimously elected Mayor of Sunshine City on Monday night. He will receive a mayoral allowance of 700 pounds, the highest yet for the city, with 50 pounds more than last year. He praised councillors, their wives, and officers and noted the late Mayor Dr H Skinner’s death as a tragedy.

Dogs Maul Sheep at Keilor Shire Countryside Crisis
In two weeks stray dogs killed 104 sheep and mauled about 200 more in Keilor Shire. Dr. Doyle spoke at the Keilor Council meeting on Tuesday urging stronger action against unregistered dogs in the district.

Man charged after girl says she was taken to his room
The girl described befriending Roger at his Hove next door home about eight months ago. She testified he took her out in his car and that about three weeks ago in his room at 2 am they were in bed together and he forced intercourse. She said she hadn’t consented but later admitted she hadn’t stopped him. She claimed to love him and said she had told him she was sixteen. She waited in a truck park after her mother and father found her in his bed. Roger denied interference but allegedly admitted the girl’s presence in his room on several occasions. He pleaded not guilty and was committed for trial with bail granted.
