Braybrook Shire Council plans a November first clean up with Sunshine residents to cart away debris from footpaths. The effort highlights hedges gardens and cleaned paths as signs of civic pride, aided by horticultural work and a council slogan urging residents to tidy up their areas.
Ronald George Prichard died at Children's Hospital on Saturday from tetanus after a splinter pierced his foot. Born at Beech Forest ten years ago, he lay in state at his parents home in Maidstone before burial at Fawkner cemetery. The Rosamond Street State School and transport workers honored him with floral tributes and schoolchildren lined the route to the graveside.
Mr William Armour, one of Sunshine's oldest residents, died at his daughter's home in Welshpool after about 23 years in Sunshine. Born near Kilmarnock Scotland, he was nearly 80. Survived by one son and four daughters, funeral at Footscray cemetery with Presbyterian services led by Rev. W. Evans. Mortuary arrangements by Walter A. Warne.
