Miss Lilia Jackson of Derrinu area will be married to Mr BAM at the Saishine Prestig church. A large turnout of friends attended a tea at Soldiers' Club where Miss Jackson received gifts. Mr J J McReneie presented a ball. Guests praised the club's support and music. Prize winners included Miss Jackson and several players.

Methodist Ladies Sale Of Outifix At Masonic Hall

Dr Ralph McKay opened the Methodist Ladies Guild sale of outifix at the Masonic Hall on Thursday afternoon to a large crowd. A varied display drew good sales and several prize winners were named including Brown sponge to Mrs H Pen Belly and Victoria sponge to Mrs J Hardie. Best decorated bicycle went to Max Har eaves and best decorated pram to Dolly Lowe.

Wandering stock nuisance noted in Drayton guidance

Conspector W J Wallis told Drayton and Lowe on Monday night that wandering stock have been roaming gardens and fields. Dr Lowe said the stock remained on the western side of the line and could continue to stray. The issue prompted complaints from residents about livestock on local properties.

Senior Constable Bareman and Constable Shields tracked an armed laborer through Braybrook after he brandished a breech loading pistol. The suspect resisted, was recaptured, and brought before Meo Edgar Hare Breaves, who committed him to the local receiving house. Malcolm Macrae rode Welcome Stranger to victory in the Findun Hunt Club's Cup last week at St Albans. Treasure Toy finished fourth in the Maiden Hunt Steeplechase. The St Albans Mothers Club held a large juvenile concert on September 28 with school children and Mere Murray pupils. Trustees offer St Albans reserve to council

Cr Fl Stensen and Mr Bod Luxford met Braghbrook council on Monday night and offered to vest in the council the local recreation reserve of about six acres valued above £0000, for public use in perpetuity. The reserve would be named Errington reserve and remain for people’s use if Sunshine becomes a borough. council to decide joint trusteeship with Keilor at a special meeting.
