The Albion Lodge No. 462 held its annual Ladies Night with master Wor. Bro. C M Dubbeldan and secretary Wor. Bro. F Findlay in charge. Ern Roberts band played while Bros. L Baglin and J Pearce sang and Miss Ada Cripps and Lorna Dubbel h performed duets. A record turnout from nearby districts attended as guests wore elaborate dresses described for many ladies. A new feature offered printed folders listing dances and music for each number. A Gymkhana was announced for Maribyrnong Reserve on King’s Birthday week.

Seventy five couples attended the Second Annual Ball of the Sunshine and St Albans Tennis Association at Town Hall. President A Clarke presented the Gardens Club with the premiership cup. Trophies were awarded to G McKechnie for Ladies' Singles, G and J McKechnie for Ladies' Handicap Doubles, Arthur Eddy for Men's Singles, A Eddy and R Spowart for Men's Doubles Handicap, and A and A Eddy for Mixed Doubles Handicap. The ball committee praised the social and financial success. Numerous ladies wore green georgette, satin, and lace gowns in varied pastel shades and styles.

William Hibbs 48 of Corio street Sunshine a returned soldier from the 6th Machine Gun Company died after an illness of about two weeks. He leaves a widow and five children. Funeral at Footscray Cemetery followed by many friends. Pallbearers included his sons and local men. He was an upholsterer at Sunbury Asylum and wreaths came from RSSILA branch and asylum staff. Service by Rev J C Harwood. Funeral by W A Warne.

At Albion School on Friday Kaycee Dey was celebrated. The Rev Go Tudball delivered an address. Numerous parents attended. The Mothered Club gave the children lollies and cakes and presented two footballs for the boys’ use.
