Maidstone Club Activities Highlight Weekend Sports and Social Events
Local Maidstone readers report on a busy week with a Methodist Church meeting led by Mrs Mounsey in Rev Godbehear's absence. Tennis teams were named for a Saturday fixture, with B and C Grade squads playing Ex-Students and Hillside respectively. Last week's B team win and ongoing President's Trophy results are noted, along with upcoming euchre, Monte Carlo prizes, and a maestro-filled dance at Maidstone Hall. Swallow Club dances and gymnastics classes led by Miss Eason are also mentioned, plus health updates on R Eason and Mrs Miers recovery. The piece closes with sympathy for Mrs Rowe and reports on J Ruddick’s illness improving after a two-week spell.
