Local Resident Wins Burnley Poultry Competition
Deer Park resident Mr Jus. B. Salmond wins the 1930 31 Egg laying Test with a team of six Black Leghorns at the Burnley Poultry Competitions and takes the single test as well. This is his second consecutive class win. Salmond, a noted Scottish breeder and poultry judge, brought the strain from Scotland five years ago after trophy success at Crystal Palace London and major Scottish shows, with further wins at Sydney and Melbourne Royal shows.

Farewell Service at St Albans Parish Honours Cher Rutty
