It was the first opportunity to celebrate the marriage of their daughter Meryl which took place at Adelaide on 12 October 1944 during his trips to Australia as basun of the 88 Northumberland Regiment. Mr Clark welcomed the couple and Mr John Mason proposed the toast. Mrs Toll and Mrs Bull jun presented a basket of flowers and dancing and games led by Reg Clark contributed to the evening.
