Maidstone News Highlights Church Talks and Dances
The Maidstone community reports a series of church events including a Wednesday Mine & Partner meeting on the Rich Fool by Rev. G. R. Godbe and Mr. Mills, a Wednesday ladies guild, a mock wedding planned for June 24, and a July 6 grand concert at Maidstone Hall to fund the young men’s room. Other items cover art exams at Melbourne University, local council illness and unemployment tensions, a fancy dress ball for the Queen of Flowers, a Merrymakers concert for the relief committee, Maidstone football loss to White City and upcoming matches, North Foot Scray Mothers’ Club euchre results, Maidstone Tennis team victory over Moonee Vale, and a handicraft tournament funded by Dr. W. Pridham.
