England Behind Us in Working Conditions

Mr Austin Allen of Coolamon Street Sunshine, an English migrant now in England for twelve months, says Britain lags Australia in working conditions with a 44 hour week, weak trade unions, high living costs, and costly compulsory levies. He notes heavy taxation, health contributions, and high purchase taxes on non essentials, while many everyday Australian goods are deemed non essential in Britain. He cannot see permanent return after six months abroad and cites meetings with Sunshine residents during his UK trip.
