Keilor Council finances scrutinized amid heated council debate
The Advocate notes that abusive rhetoric headlines the council's response as figures quoted on May 30 appear unchallenged, suggesting they were checked. The article described the municipality's finances and the developmental program's difficulties, while councillors exchanged sharp, unconstructive remarks.

Councillors Urged to Face Truth on Shire Finances
The Shire’s bank balance swung from a credit of £1110 in 1942 to a debit of £2444 in 1946 per Mr Woods’ statement published in the Advocate on November 16. Ratepayers urge action while councillors ignore warnings from Mr Woods and face no blame if scrutiny darkens. The Prime Minister announced a reshuffle of duties among ministers including Post War Reconstruction and Defence with Sen Sandford to act for Dedman.
