Braybrook man clings to pipe as truck plunges into river
Mr John Munro of Dukry street Braybrook was last to leave his motor truck when it rolled back into the Marthyr Bong river. He calmly held the brake with his pipe in his mouth as the vehicle leapt five feet off the river bank and sank. He managed to escape and reach the riverbank, saying simply Well there she is. The truck now serves as breakwater as the village company begins operations.
